Id get hooked so I only have a few vinyl exclusives and not really rare expensive stuff trhat I couldnt afford.
I just sort of gave up and for whatever I got to recoup for my records, I decided to not start again cause I know if I started searching ebay or whatever for even the lp's and 12's that were still in common distr. yes, even my sharon lois and bram cds were stolen and I listed those too! Also, I feel kinda ridiculous buying cd singles but I know Ill never be able to come close to recreating my vinyl collection cause of all the rare and expensive and out of print stuff that took me years to find/purchase, not to mention the hundreds of obscure records that I just grabbed from the bargain bins that I didnt even know the titles but just looked cool. Note: some of this is music I listened to in highschool and only noted initially when I had to give a list of items/propeties to my insurance company so there might be some embarassing stuff. Some of the Asin #'s, etc I grabbed from Amazon or wherever for albums with multiple releases or specific/obscure titles that I needed to document in order to be precise about the listings. Here's an older notepad file thatI used to keep to acknowledge my purchases and replacements as well as a list of other artists/albums at the bottom that I know I've owned/had or plan on repurchasing eventually. When I first found out that everything was lost, my heart sunk into the pit of my stomach and I couldn't leave my house for an entire week, I never felt so shitty in my entire life. who knew how passionate I was about my collection. compensation, friends and relatives, etc. 1000 more albums to add but since highschool I've pretty much transfered a majority of my music collection to cd and sacd through ins. I started to compile a list for insurance claim and haven't finnished it so there's still approx. I was obsessed with my music.Ī good portion. I used to have well over 10,000 records and close to maybe 300 cd's. some 60's cd called lava lounge: atomic groove (with the theme of I dream of Jennie and soul bossa nova) the very best of the chipmunks with David Seville Cartoon Classics and Wacky Sounds by Hanna Barbera (38 tracks of songs and 75 tracks of sound FX on 3 discs) Animaniacs: Yakko's World (my 1st cd and I still love it) How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000 Film) How the Grinch Stole Christmas / Horton Hears A Who festival of the lion king (animal kingdom show) Magic in the streets: Parade memories at Walt Disney world Official Album of Walt Disney World ('00 version)
